Over time Izat Afghan Ltd has emerged as one of Afghanistan’s largest food products distribution networks.
Distributing a vast range of products include dairy, beverages, pasta and spices, from renowned brands in Pakistan, the company gradually expanded its product line to manufacturing shoe polish, snacks, and jams.
Recently it has established its pasta manufacturing plant and is soon launching food products manufactured under its brand name- Izzat. From merely distributing food items to manufacturing its brand products, Izzat Afghan Ltd has come a long way. The company has now grown to 400 employees, distributes products to wholesalers and retailers throughout Afghanistan, and has also started manufacturing pasta and Nimko under its own brand name.
OUR HISTORY
A story of optimism & resilience in the face of war!
With a glorious history of 34 years, Izat Afghan started its business when Afghanistan was surrounded by civil war and unrest. Infrastructure was destroyed, food was scarce, Afghans were starving, and there was an urgent need for dairy. When other businesses collapsed in Afghanistan, Izat Afghan Ltd was the first source to introduce tetra-packed dairy products in a war-torn Afghanistan.
When roads were destroyed by the violent attacks and food transportation was almost impossible, we used camels to transport the products across the border. Amid chaos and turmoil, our company took the responsibility to deliver the best quality and healthy food products to our customers, meeting the basic food needs.
Where others were fretting about instability, Izat Afghan created an opportunity!
Since then, Izat Afghan has never looked back and has continued to emerge as one of Afghanistan’s most valuable and efficient food distribution networks. Food products we distribute include dairy, beverages, and pasta products. Along the way, our company has partnered with some of the well-known companies in Pakistan like Shakarganj, Bake Parlour, EBM, Tapal, Maaza international, Shaan Foods, and Shangrila. Now we have moved towards manufacturing our very own brand products.
MANUFACTURING HISTORY
Where we started…
A humble shoe-polish formulation set up in the backyard of our home…
The year was 1999 when two brothers planted a little seed of hope and success that came back to them in abundance. They started working on their idea of making shoe polish with as limited equipment and scope as using a bowl in the backyard of their home. With sheer hard work and dedication, they were able to formulate an affordable and high-quality product.
Soon the product grabbed customers’ attention for its premium quality, and the demand rose from 1 bottle to 20,000 bottles per day. To meet the exceeding demand, the company gradually increased the supply and expanded its product line to snacks and jams.
However, this was just the beginning….
Where we are now!
An upscale pasta manufacturing plant spread over an area of 10,000 square meters.
Izat Afghan did not stop there and has now established a full-fledged pasta manufacturing factory in Kabul’s outskirts. The business is continuously thriving and setting new trends in the food industry. Starting from a shoe polish formulation, we are now locally manufacturing and ready to launch many food products, including Pasta, Macaroni, and Nimko.
